The story of the 1963
Founded in 1955, the Seagull legacy was born out of a dream and a modest budget in Tianjin - the oldest industrial city in China. In 1961, the Tianjin watch factory was assigned the task of developing the official aviation watch for pilots in the Chinese air force.
So when Seagull approached us with the request to build a completely new storefront on Shopify, migrating from Wordpress, we knew we had a legacy to uphold.

We build a new website for the Seagull 1963 brand on Shopify. They came from WooCommerce, but found it difficult to maintain the website on their own; they wanted a simpler solution, while increasing site performance.
Our biggest challenge was making sure SEO traffic stayed intact while migrating. WooCommerce is strong in SEO. We handled all the URL changes, and built a theme that kept SEO in mind in every corner of the code.
